A Very “Conventional” Good Time

This past week the Patriot Quartet, including all spouses, enjoyed a great time of fellowship with other groups and gospel music fans from all over the country and even the world. The National Quartet Convention, the Grandaddy of all Southern Gospel events, is held each fall in Louisville Kentucky’s Freedom Hall. It’s a full week of great concerts by many of the best groups and individuals in gospel music along with the opportunity for artists and fans alike to mingle and get to know each other better in the huge exhibitor area. This year the NQC Committee announced the addition of regional artist showcases to the week’s program. The Pariots were invited to participate in one of these on Monday. We thoughly enjoyed singing to the large crowd there and seeing several of our personal friends cheering us on in the audience. On Wednesday we participated in a showcase sponsored by the Eddie Crook Company at the Executive Inn West’s Grand Ballroom. This entire concert by various Eddie Crook Company artist was taped live and will be made available for purchase on our product table in the coming months. We want to thank everyone who came by our table and to our concert opportunities. We love you all.

Please visit our schedule page for upcoming opportunities to hear the Patriot Quartet in concert. We’re looking forward to a very busy fall schedule. In particular we would ask that you pray for us as we prepare for our annual Patriot Homecoming, and also that we can get the old bus back on the road soon. We surely have missed it this summer!

Until next time, keep a song in your heart.
