“CELEBRATE” to debut on WCGW 770 AM

Hi everbody! I thought it was high time I brought you up to date on the comings and goings of the PQ. If you’ve been following our schedule at all you’ll see that we’ve been fairly busy, with trips to Illinois, Michigan and Indiana, as well as several closer to home here in Kentucky. We can certainly say that God has blessed us in each locale and in every concert. However, there is an evil power at work against us, it seems.

For the past month or so, Jerry has been having extreme voice problems. Part of that time, he couldn’t sing at all, let alone sing his normal high part. However, with the Lord’s help, and a lot of “re-arrangement” of our songs (usually meaning “trooper Joe” got to hit the high notes) we were able to fill our obligations in a credible manner. God is good and He honored our efforts with blessings! We’ve enjoyed seeing old friends and have made many new ones. But the old devil wasn’t through. In the last two weekends we’ve experienced three or four last minute cancellations! Now I know unforseen things happen to cause a concellation once in a while, but this many in a couple of weeks looks like more than a normal coincidence. I personally suspect satan is trying to keep us from experiencing something really great just down the road! Hallelujah!

“CELEBRATE”, a song written by our own Joe White and featuring Jerry Shepherd, will be debuted on WCGW 770 AM radio on June 14th around 10am! A Patriot Quartet interview will be featured along with the song debut. CELEBRATE will be included on the Eddie Crook Company compilation disk for June and should arrive at all other stations shortly after it’s debut on 770. Thanks a bunch to John Wells, Bruce Edwards and all the gang at WCGW for wanting to debut this exciting new song for us! We love and appreciate you guys.

We’re truly excited about the new recording and hope to get it to you folks soon. In addition to CELEBRATE, it contains several great new songs written by Joe, David and others and will include several songs with a patriotic theme. The project is titled “Standing for God and Country”.

Until next time let’s keep on singing!
